HON. MARY DAVIES SCOTT (Retired)

Hon. Mary Davies Scott served, from 1987 to 2002, as a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas and, from 1996 to 2002, as a member of the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a Conferee of the National Bankruptcy Conference, a member of the American Law Institute, a Fellow in and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the American College of Bankruptcy and past President of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges. She also serves as a member of the American College of Bankruptcy Foundation Board of Directors. Judge Scott is a member of the Board of Editors of Collier on Bankruptcy, author of several chapters in the Treatise, Reviewing Editor of the Collier Bankruptcy Manual and Reviewing Editor and contributing author of Volume 14, Collier on Bankruptcy Exemptions. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Journal of the History of Philosophy for over 30 years. Much of Judge Scott's time is also spent on the National Bankruptcy Archives, a primary project of the American College of Bankruptcy, located at the Biddle Law Library of the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.
