HAROLD S. NOVIKOFF, Esq.

Harold S. Novikoff specializes in creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, debt restructurings, and financial markets transactions. A member of the Creditors’ Rights Department at WLR&K, Mr. Novikoff’s professional experience includes representation of the principal lender group or major underwriter/noteholder in many major Chapter 11 cases; representation of several major dealers and other market participants in connection with derivatives, repurchase agreements, securities lending, and other capital market activities; and representation of principal lender groups in out-of-court debt restructurings of a broad variety of public and private companies.

In addition to his active role in the Firm’s Creditors’ Rights Department, Mr. Novikoff has chaired and participated in numerous continuing legal education and professional programs on a variety of financial, creditors’ rights, and bankruptcy-related topics, including but not limited to Chapter 11 plans and disclosure statements, troubled leveraged buyouts, structuring of unsecured lending arrangements, and pension and employee claims in bankruptcy. He currently chairs the Committee on Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and serves as Director of the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys, Inc.

Mr. Novikoff received his bachelor’s degree with Distinction from Cornell University. He received his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a member of the Board of Editors of the Columbia Law Review. He has authored numerous outlines and articles for continuing legal education and professional programs.
