MARCIA L. GOLDSTEIN, Esq.
Marcia Goldstein is a partner in the Business
Finance and Restructuring Department of
Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where she has
practiced for more than 20 years. She has
represented creditors, debtors, statutory
creditors' committees, trustees, and other
parties in major debt restructurings and
chapter 11 cases, including United Companies
Financial Corp., CRIIMI MAE, Inc., Babcock
& Wilcox, Inc., Purina Mills, Inc., SGL
Carbon Corp., Marvel Entertainment, Inc.,
Paragon Trade Brands, Inc., Donald J. Trump
and affiliates, Allied Department Stores,
Inc., Anacomp, Inc., Metallurg, Inc., Elder-Beerman
Stores, Inc., Southland, Inc., Gitano, Inc.,
American Healthcare, Piecegoods Shops, Inc.,

Representing major lender interests including
Citibank, Prudential and Bank of Montreal,
Ms. Goldstein has been involved in out of
court restructurings in the financial services,
healthcare, ship building, beef packing,
printing and real estate industries.
Ms. Goldstein is a certified mediator in
the Southern District of New York and has
served as a mediator in a number of chapter
11 cases. She has also served as a chapter
11 trustee. Ms. Goldstein is on the Advisory
Board of Colliers Bankruptcy, 15th Ed.,
has been a Visiting Lecturer in Bankruptcy
at Yale Law School and is a member of the
National Bankruptcy Conference, where she
chairs the Committee on Legislation, and
is a member of the American College of Bankruptcy.
She is a member of the Association of the
Bar of the City of New York, where she has
served as the Chair of the Committee on
Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization.
She is also a member of the American Bar
Association, where she served on the Chapter
11 Committee and related sub-committees
in the Section of Corporation, Banking and
Business Law. Ms. Goldstein has been named
in numerous publications of "best lawyers"
in the restructuring and bankruptcy area
and has frequently lectured and published
material for continuing legal education
programs.
Ms. Goldstein graduated magna cum laude,
from Cornell University with an A.B in 1973.
She received her J.D., cum laude, from Cornell
Law School in 1975, where she was Articles
Editor of the Cornell Law Review. She is
currently on the Law School Advisory Council
and is the co-chair of Cornell Law School's
Dean's Special Leadership Committee.
