PROF. DAVID G. EPSTEIN

David Epstein received his undergraduate and law degrees from The University of Texas and received a graduate degree in law from Harvard University where he learned about bankruptcy from Vern Countryman. He is currently teaching bankruptcy, contracts, and commercial law in Dallas, at the Dedman School of Law of Southern Methodist University and working one day a week as of counsel at Haynes and Boone. Before moving to Dallas, he practiced law with King & Spalding in Atlanta , served as dean of the University of Arkansas and Emory University Law Schools, and taught at a number of other law schools.

He has also authored or co-authored a number of textbooks and casebooks for law students and a multivolume bankruptcy treatise for practitioners.
