Richard Broude is a sole practitioner practicing in New York City. He is a member of The American Law Institute, the National Bankruptcy Conference, the American College of Bankruptcy and other professional organizations. He is also a member of the Board of Editors of "Collier on Bankruptcy" and "Collier International Business Insolvency Guide" as well as the author of a one-volume treatise on Chapter 11.

His practice consists of advising leading corporations, banks, investment bankers and professional firms with respect to bankruptcy matters. He has been lead insolvency counsel for The Dow Chemical Company in the Dow Corning breast implant chapter 11 case and in the administration of the tort claimant trust that came into existence in June 2004. He also represents foreign bankruptcy trustees in cross-border cases and has served as an expert witness in US litigation and English arbitrations.
